1. Making Your Appointment

The practice is open on Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 5.00pm.

For visa medical appointments, please call during our normal opening hours on Tel: 020 7589 8965.

All medicals are now processed electronically on eMedical.  All applicants must have a HAP ID number at the time of booking in order to locate the case on eMedical.

Further information on the health requirements and how to download your eMedical Referral Letter may be found on the Australian Immigration website using the links below.

Please also have the following information ready when you call us:

  • A HAP ID number for EACH applicant

  • Your preferred appointment dates

We operate a cancellation policy, whereby we reserve the right to charge £50 per person if you cancel within 3 working days of your scheduled visa medical appointment

Females are advised not to book their appointment during their menstrual period because this may affect the required urine test.

2. What To Bring To Your Appointment

  • Valid passport (mandatory)
  • eMedical Referral Letter (obtained from Australian Immigration website)
  • HAP ID number
  • Spectacles or contact lenses if you wear them
  • Copies of GP/specialist reports, if available, for any significant medical conditions
  • For children of 7 or under, the 'Red Book' health record, if available

 

Please note that you should have the following information to hand:

  • Your visa subclass
  • The visa office where you have lodged your application

eMedical applicants do not need to bring forms or passport photos

 

Note: ALL Australian visa medicals are now carried out on eMedical

3. What To Expect During The Examination

All applicants will have a full medical examination, including a urine test for anyone aged 5 years and above. The medical itself involves a physical examination, where the applicant will undress to underwear whilst wearing a gown. Chaperones are available upon request.

All applicants aged 11 years and above will need a chest X-ray.

Permanent Visa applicants aged 15 years and above will require blood tests for HIV status.

All doctors, dentists or nurses working in healthcare will require blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and C.

New Zealand

  • The names and dates of birth of all applicants requiring a medical

2. What To Bring To Your Appointment

New Zealand Immigration Medicals are now processed online through the eMedical system as ‘Upfront Medicals’. This means that your health case will be created in eMedical at the clinic on the day of your appointment.

  • A valid Passport; the medical cannot proceed without this
  • Spectacles or contact lenses if you wear them
  • Copies of letters from your GP or Specialist if you are currently on any medication, or have any significant medical history
  • For children of 7 or under, the 'Red Book' health record, if available


Each applicant will be presented with an eMedical Information Sheet before leaving the clinic. This enable them to lodge their visa application and will contain the applicant’s unique medical identifier (NZER).

3. What To Expect During The Examination

All applicants will have a full medical examination, including a urine test if aged 5 years and above.

All applicants aged 11 years and above will need a chest X-ray.

All full applicants aged 15 years and above will also need blood tests for HIV status, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, kidney function test, full blood count and diabetes test (HbA1c).

Applicants for limited certificate will need a full blood count and kidney function tests.

Chaperones are available on request.
