Pre-University / Employment Assessment
Please note the below information does not refer to Immigration Medical Examinations. If this is your requirement, please refer to the country of interest under the Immigration Medical dropdown list.
Worldwide universities and employers may request a medical clearance certificate/letter. This usually involves a medical history and examination as a minimum. Sometimes x-rays, blood tests, and/or vaccinations are also required.
If you have been asked to undergo a medical assessment by your prospective university/employer, please email info@knightsbridge-doctors.com with any related official paperwork. This is a required step to clarify the requested testing and provide an accurate quotation. Generally, a consultation appointment (history, examination and completion of paperwork) in this area will cost £280.00. Any additional tests will incur further charges, which will be confirmed before booking.
Sometimes the only specific requirement is "tuberculosis testing". This testing can involve one or more of:
- Tuberculin skin testing
- Quantiferon or T-Spot blood test
- Chest X-ray
If your requirements are clear and you only require a single TB test for school, university or employment as above, please use our online BOOKING FORM to book an appointment (costs £300.00). This will include the appointment with the doctor, one of the TB tests mentioned above, and completion of any related paperwork.
Please note all appointment prices include a non-refundable fee of £80.00. Additionally, if the cancellation is within 48 hours of the booked appointment, 50 percent of the appointment fee but a minimum of £80.00 will be charged. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the paperwork / administration details are up to date and be certain that a medical examination is required by the authorities. Applicants who cancel at short notice will be subject to the Practice cancellation policy.
